Wildlife Paintings on Harakeke Paper

Harakeke or NZ flax paper is used for the background of the original paintings, I chose to use this medium to create a New Zealand feel in keeping with my theme. The textures and fibres show through the paint, giving the subject depth and dimension and provides a natural, visually striking background.

Our limited edition giclee prints are done by scanning and printing the entire painting including the flax paper, this ensures the high-quality archival properties of giclee using pigment inks and specialty coated fine art papers.
